HyperTransport Consortium Compatibility Program Overview

The new HyperTransport Technology Compatibility Program is designed to facilitate industry-wide use of the HyperTransport chip-to-chip interconnect specification. The HyperTransport Compatibility Program consists of a set of electrical and protocol checklists and a Device-Under-Test (DUT) Connector definition that HyperTransport-enabled product manufacturers can use to help ensure compatibility between their devices.

The aim of the HyperTransport Compatibility Program is to give designers a means of comparing HyperTransport-enabled devices with the aim of ensuring that products from one manufacturer will easily integrate with others. It precisely defines a list of interoperability tests that check that a device meets the stringent requirements of the HyperTransport specification.

The HyperTransport Compatibility Program was devised by the HyperTransport Consortium Infrastructure Task Force. The Program consists of a set of electrical and protocol checklists and a DUT connector definition. The checklists and definitions are available free to members of the HyperTransport Consortium. Please go to the member's only section to review and download the technical documentation.
