Consortium Working Groups
The HyperTransport Consortium is
currently comprised of two standing Working Groups, the
Technical Working Group and the Marketing Working Group. The
Working Groups act in an advisory capacity to the Executive
Committee.
Both the Technical Working Group and the Marketing Working
Group coordinate, review, authorize, approve or disapprove such
activities as proposed and carried out by its assigned Task
Forces. Final decisions are voted on by the Executive Committee.
Technical Working Group
The function of the Technical
Working Group is to provide a forum for the coordination,
review, approval or disapproval of all architectural matters
relating to the HyperTransport Technology Specification. The
Technical Working Group is composed of a chairperson, nominated
by the Executive Committee and the chairpersons of all Technical
Task Forces.
Technical Task Forces are formed, under the direction of the
Technical Working Group, to drive the development activities of
the HyperTransport specification, manage specification
maintenance issues and advise the Technical Working Group when
amendments are required to policies and procedures.
Marketing Working Group
The Marketing Working Group is
responsible for promoting HyperTransport Technology and the
HyperTransport Technology Consortium. The Marketing Working
Group is responsible for all marketing and public communications
activities of the Consortium, however, all positioning and any
official collateral must be approved by the Executive Committee.
The Marketing Working Group coordinates our memberships, joint
participation in HyperTransport Technology Consortium press
releases, trade show exhibitions, conference presentations and
oversees the HyperTransport web site.
