David Rich, President, HyperTransport Consortium
David Rich is Director of Business Development at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). Previously, he directed AMD's efforts in high performance computing and also in the use of Opteron processors in non-traditional or embedded applications. Previous to AMD, David was general manager at API NetWorks, Inc. API co-developed the HyperTransport high-speed, I/O interconnect with AMD. While vice president of Business Development at Fujitsu System Technologies, David spearheaded the transition of a research unit into an exciting start-up working on InfiniBand switching technologies. Previous to Fujitsu, David was vice president of Marketing, Sales and Customer Support at Dolphin Interconnect Solutions, a vendor of SCI based high-speed interconnect technology.
David spent nine years at Internet pioneer BBN (Bolt, Beraneck and Newman). David worked on the Butterfly series of parallel computers at BBN and also created a software tool business based around the TotalView debugger and managed the spin-off of that business from BBN now Etnus. He held technical and marketing positions at a number of companies including Octocom Systems, Apollo Computer and Micom Systems. David received a BA in computer science from Brown University.

Mario Cavalli, General Manager, HyperTransport Consortium
In his role of General Manager, Mr. Cavalli is responsible
for business strategy, activities and finances of the HyperTransport
Technology Consortium, reporting to the Board of Directors. Mr.
Cavalli is an experienced industry executive with 28 years of
involvement in advanced semiconductor and computer system technology
and over 18 years of executive management expertise in the U.S. and
Europe.
As President of Business Development International, a company he
founded in 1990, he developed considerable executive level
involvement with the worldwide electronics industry and played a key
role in the launch of innovative semiconductor and computer
technologies into global markets for U.S. and European companies,
resulting in two successful IPOs.
Mr. Cavalli's former responsibilities include Executive Vice
President of International Sales for Selectica, a leading supplier
of enterprise software platforms for e-commerce applications and the
direction of Ing. C. Olivetti & C., S.p.A.'s advanced PC technology
acquisition program. Mr. Cavalli holds a BSEE degree and his
technical background ranges from microprocessor system design to
software development. |

Brian Holden, Chair Person, Technical Working Group
Brian Holden is the Chair Person of the Technical Working Group at
HyperTransport Consortium and a Principal Engineer at the MIPS
Processor Division of PMC-Sierra, Inc. For the Consortium, Brian is
responsible for managing the Technical Working Group and directing
all development of the HyperTransport specification. At PMC-Sierra,
he is responsible for coordinating efforts between the company and
industry standard groups. He has worked in the communications
industry for 21 years, serving as the CTO of Integrated Telecom
Technologies, Inc., the CEO of Network Synthesis, Inc., and as a
Manager and Co-Founder of StrataCom, Inc. He has worked in many
standards efforts including IEEE 802.17 and various ATM Forum
specifications. He has 18 U.S. patents including StrataCom's
original patents. He has also helped architect and helped develop
many significant products including the NSI/IgT/PMC AAl1gator
and the StrataCom IPX. He has an MBA with graduate studies in
Computer Science from Cornell University and a BSEE with highest
honors from U.C. Davis. |

Gregg Buzard, Chair Person, Marketing Working Group
Gregg Buzard is the Chair Person of the Marketing Working Group at
HyperTransport Consortium and a Strategic Programs Manager for
FuturePlus Systems, Corporation. For the Consortium, Gregg is
responsible of managing the Marketing Working Group and directing
and coordinating its marketing activities. At FuturePlus, he is
responsible for developing programs to educate engineers and promote
the latest bus technologies in the marketplace. Prior to joining
FuturePlus Systems, Gregg worked for Hewlett Packard/Agilent
Technologies for 21 years in a variety of engineering and
marketing positions involving oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. |
